Start like a sprinter

A lot of swings lose power before the club even moves, just because the feet are stuck in place. Think about a sprinter at the starting line. They never start standing straight up. They get low, set a foot on the block, and get ready to push off so they're moving from the very first step. Your golf swing works the same way. Coach Matt likes to start with a simple rocking drill. Take your setup and gently rock back and forth through your feet, letting your club brush the grass as you go. Step, step, brush, and keep it flowing. That little bit of movement keeps you from getting stuck in an arms-only swing. Your whole body gets involved, and the sequence of your swing starts to fall into place on its own. Give it a try at the start of your next practice session and notice how much freer your swing feels. Watch the full video: https://youtu.be/lvTyRIfH6NY
