Hitting Thin Shots? Fix Your Setup, Not Your Swing ⛳️
If thin shots are a recurring problem in your game, the fix is almost always in your setup rather than your swing. Two things to check before your next round. First, how much are you bowing over at address? Most golfers who hit it thin are standing too tall or sitting back on their heels, which pushes the bottom of the swing arc behind the ball. The club catches it on the upswing instead of striking down through it. The fix: bow down more and get closer to the ball. Feel like you're genuinely leaning over it rather than reaching for it. Second, how long and loose are your arms? Tension in the arms shortens them through impact, which raises the low point and produces exactly the thin, weak contact you're trying to fix. Shake them out before you take your stance. Let them hang naturally, long and relaxed. Low body. Long arms. Those two things alone will clean up a significant amount of thin contact without changing a single thing about your actual swing. ⛳ #TrueSwing #GolfTips #GolfSwing #GolfInstruction #GolfImprovement
