The most common backswing advice in golf is to turn your shoulders more.

And for most casual golfers, it's actually making things worse. Here's why. A bigger shoulder turn only helps if your base is stable enough to support it. When you chase rotation without maintaining your posture and your base, you lose the leverage you need to unwind properly. The backswing gets longer but the downswing gets messier. What actually creates consistency is a clean, controlled rotation within your posture. Stable lower body. Spine angle maintained. Turn that stays within your base so everything can unwind from the same place every time. That's not a smaller swing. That's a better one. ⛳ lick here to get our free 5 Principles of a True Swing guide: https://bit.ly/4bEMiNV #golftips #golfswing #golfinstruction #golfcoach #consistentgolf
