When every turn reveals something new | 4Islands Epic Stage 2 Moments
Stage 2 on Krk flipped the script riders rolled out of Baška in the opposite direction, easing into the day before the real work began (84.6 km | 1,838 m climbing). After a relaxed start through pastures and meadows, the first real test arrived: a long tarmac climb leading to the iconic Moon Plateau. From “Disco Point” (no disco ball, just pure rock & roll legs), the climbing continued before opening into a playful mix of rolling terrain toward Service Station 1. The middle section delivered variety at its best—tiny villages, ever-changing trails, and the standout Ponikve Lake segment, with a steady climb and a smooth, flowing descent. Then came the highlight: the “James Bond Trail.” A full descent to sea level with technical sections and coastal exposure fast, demanding, and unforgettable. From Service Station 3, it was all about the return to Baška. Two final climbs tested what was left in the legs, before one last reward: a stunning singletrack descent from the Moon Plateau straight back to the finish line.
