Emerald Bay, the gem of Lake Tahoe! We’ve been to Emerald Bay so many times and its beauty never gets old. Although lately, we’ve had our eyes set on something a little less… touristy...Eagle Lake Buttress! Towering over Desolation Wilderness lies a peak that is known as the only “alpine climb” in the Tahoe area - so we had to go check it out for ourselves. With many variations to get to the summit, it was that classic "choose your own adventure" type of rock climbing and it ended up being a perfect day spent in the mountains!
