I use a deep plum cream eyeshadow as my base and blend it with my fingertips I apply it across my lids, then soften the edges outward and slightly upward to create a lifted cat-eye shape. Start with a thin layer so you have more control, then build the depth gradually. If you have hooded eyes, look straight into the mirror between steps so you can check how much color shows above the fold. Next, I gently press a duochrome eyeshadow over the cream base. It looks lilac in the pan, but over that blackened purple, the icy blue reflection really stands out. My tip: tap the shimmer on instead of rubbing it back and forth.
