95 yards. Closest to the pin. 🎯 Who will win... Iona or the Pros?
Iona Stephen competes against Lottie Woad, Ludvig Åberg, Cameron Young, Patty Tavatanakit and Michael Brennan in a 95-yard closest-to-the-pin challenge. See who will win with Iona vs the pros. Justin Thomas helps select the pin position, choosing a spot near the front-middle section of the green where the slope can affect how the ball releases toward the hole. Each pro can hit up to three shots, but after every attempt they have to choose whether to keep that distance or hit again. If they continue, the previous result no longer counts. Iona gets three shots to beat the distance they finish with. Lottie plays the shot with a 50-degree wedge and gets to 10 feet before choosing to hit again, ultimately leaving Iona with 22 feet to beat. Ludvig uses a sand wedge and improves with each attempt, eventually finishing 3 feet 4 inches from the hole. Cameron plays a 57-degree wedge and stops at 6 feet 1 inch, while Patty works through the wind and finishes 6 feet 4 inches away. Iona uses her 52-degree wedge for the main challenge. Against Cam, she hits her first shot to exactly 4 feet 2 inches. Iona beats Lottie, Cameron and Patty to take a 3-1 lead against the pros, with Ludvig’s 3-foot-4-inch shot proving the only number she can’t chase down. With Iona leading the pros 3-1, the challenge gets one final twist when Michael Brennan steps up: a Scottish-style bump-and-run from roughly the same yardage. Iona switches to a 7-iron and keeps the ball low, giving the pros one last chance to level the competition.
