Your lead arm is too straight. Your circle is still too small

Here's something that trips up a lot of golfers. The lead arm can look perfectly straight in the backswing and the swing can still be way too narrow. Because it's not just about the arm, it's about where the hands are relative to the body. When the wrists hinge immediately in the takeaway, the club head stays close, the circle shrinks, and the shaft ends up nearly hitting the trail shoulder before you've even reached halfway back. It looks like a backswing but it's more like a wind-up with nowhere to go. Width is speed. The further the club head gets from your center, the faster it can travel at the same amount of effort. And you don't have to force that width by muscling the club away. The wrist hinge comes for free at the top when you've built enough momentum getting there. Keep the Y longer. Let the L develop on its own.
