Lost in the Sierra: In Search of Valentine Lake

Eastern Sierra hiking season is finally upon us! We took advantage of the perfect spring hiking weather to head out on an Eastern Sierra hiking classic: Sherwin Lakes Trail to Valentine Lake. While the hike to Sherwin Lakes is a super popular local destination in Mammoth Lakes, we saw absolutely not another soul on our trek out to Valentine Lake....and for good reason. With snow still on the trail, navigation was tricky, but we were rewarded with the perfect serene Sierra snack spot at Valentine Lake. Not to mention, that cold plunge at Sherwin Lake really was the cherry on top!
