Your pitch shot and bunker shot are the same

Most golfers treat the bunker like it is a completely different game. It is not. This high soft pitch shot over a bunker and a greenside bunker shot share the exact same swing. Free wrists, L shape on both sides, finish the swing instead of hitting at the ball. That is it. The club already has enough loft to float the ball up there. You do not need to scoop it, help it, or lift it. You just need to set that L on the way back and trust the angle to do the work coming through. One thing to be careful of: set the L too aggressively and then swing hard and you will send it over the green. The angle creates loft. Manage the speed and the ball goes exactly where you want it.
