The second L is where most golfers fall apart
Everyone talks about setting the L on the backswing. Nobody talks about getting to the L on the other side. That second L is where the shot actually happens. And there are two ways most golfers blow it: they hit at the ball and never get there, or they hinge and hold and drag the handle all the way through. Both kill the shot. The release should feel lazy. Soft. Even tempo on both sides. Not slow motion, but definitely not hard and fast either. Around the green you are controlling distance, not chasing speed. The open trail hand drill removes both problems at once. Float the bottom fingers off and you physically cannot push or drag. The club just falls through naturally at the right tempo with the right timing. Set the L. Let it fall. Get to the second L. That's the whole short game. Full video on our channel.
