The Truth About Wrist Release in the Golf Swing
Trying to time your wrist release is one of the most common swing thoughts in golf. It's also one of the least effective. The swing happens in less than a second. By the time your brain sends the signal to release, the moment has already passed. And the attempt to control it almost always creates tension, which is the exact opposite of what you need. Here's the shift: stop thinking about what your wrists are doing and start thinking about what your setup is doing. Neutral grip so the face can rotate freely. Low tension in the hands and forearms so the club can swing. Square alignment so you're not compensating before you even start. When those three things are in place, the release takes care of itself. All you have to do is turn your body to the target and let it swing. You're not responsible for your wrists. You're responsible for the conditions that let them work. ⛳ Click here to get our free 5 Principles of a True Swing guide: https://bit.ly/4x8V8f7 #golftips #golfswing #golfinstruction #golfcoach #wristrelease
