We set out for a remote car camping trip in the Canadian backcountry, but when our planned campsites were full, we were forced much farther up the forest service roads than expected, putting our humble Kia Sportage’s off-road abilities to the test. After finally finding somewhere to camp, we spent the trip kayaking and wild swimming in a beautiful Canadian lake, cooking outdoors and discovering whether the Kia could still deliver the remote camping adventure we had imagined.
