This normal?

Does ANYONE ELSE experience this last minute "actually it's not so bad and can I stay a little longer?" After counting down to the next chapter until it's literally almost in front of you? This fascinates me because I don't fully understand it and maybe I'm not meant to, but what do you think? What's going on up there?
