BIG Problem On Our Homestead! Can We FIX IT? Living Off Grid
BIG Problem On Our Homestead! Can We FIX IT? Living Off Grid 🇮🇹 😯 This week on Another Homestead, we begin clearing a long-overgrown part of our rural homestead in southern Italy—set to become the site for our DIY garden tool shed. But things quickly spiral when our off-grid water system breaks, leaving us without water for days. Life off the grid in Italy means adapting quickly, especially when it comes to water systems! In this episode, we tackle overgrown land, harvest bamboo, experience our first summer storm (perfect for rainwater harvesting) and begin restoring our off grid water supply. We also get begin to terrace a slope for future permaculture planting and try out making biochar for soil regeneration. Every step brings us closer to creating a self-sufficient, off-grid lifestyle in rural Italy—combining permaculture, sustainable living and a lot of DIY homestead projects.
