The Start Of Something BIG: Restoring Abandoned Italian Homestead 🇮🇹 This week on Another Homestead, we begin laying the foundation—quite literally—for one of our biggest construction projects yet. With no experience, we start constructing the wooden foundation for a large DIY tool shed on our off-grid homestead in southern Italy. This is the first step in what will (hopefully) become a much-needed storage space for our ever-growing list of DIY tools & land regeneration kit. At the same time, we continue the journey of our off-grid rainwater harvesting system, installing another IBC tank to make our homestead more self-sufficient and sustainable. It’s a slow and mindful process—but each small project brings us closer to turning this abandoned farm into a functioning, off-grid homestead.
