The Season Ahead | Very Simple, Not Very Original

Alpine Connections. States of Elevation. The past two years have been about exploration, long projects in the mountains, pushing my body in ways I hadn't before. But they also meant time away from home, from my family. This year, the goal is simpler: show up at trail running races that mean a lot to me: Western States in June, Sierre-Zinal in August and UTMB at the end of the summer. I've run these before, many times. What pulls me back isn't the unknown, it's the competition: these are the start lines where the best show up, where the field is deep, where you have to be at your best just to stay in it. But this season is about more than racing. At this stage of my career, several things define how I think about what I do: competing as an athlete, building as an entrepreneur, and protecting the mountains as an activist. This new Youtube series follows the whole season. Training in Norway, racing in Europe and the USA, product meetings with my partners, and the work behind the scenes that makes it all possible.
