Your club should tell you where your hands go
That low, screaming shot that skips across the green? That's the leading edge. And a lot of the time it starts right here at setup. The golf club is actually designed to tell you exactly where the handle belongs. Butt end slightly left of the zipper. Face square to your spine. Every step of the grip process, confirm the face is still where it needs to be before you move on. Most golfers grip the club and then check the face. It should be the other way around.
