You don't need as much backswing as you think

Nobody needs more than 90 degrees of turn. Nobody... If you can get your arms to chest height and turn your chest to about 10 o'clock, that is a full backswing. That's all you need. Even if you have a sore back. Even if you feel stiff. Even if you've been told your whole life that you don't turn enough. Here's the thing most golfers don't realize: the club goes way past where your body goes because of wrist hinge and momentum. So when your swing looks massive at the top, it's usually not because you turned that much. It's because you went past your natural stopping point and the club kept going while your body lost its frame.
