Your body has a built-in backswing "stop sign"

Your body already knows how far back to go. Most golfers just aren't listening to it... There is a natural stopping point in your trail hip. A small catch, a subtle tension that shows up right when you have gone as far as your body wants to go. When you feel it, that is your signal. Stop there. Go past it, and something has to give, and it's usually your posture, your balance, or both.
