Uneven lies beat you before your swing

Most golfers walk up to an uneven lie, set up the same way they always do, and wonder why the shot falls apart. The slope changes everything about where your club actually reaches the ground. And if your ball position does not match that, you are either hitting it fat or catching it thin before you even take the club back. The fix is simple but almost nobody does it. Take practice swings first. Feel where the club contacts the ground on that specific slope. That is your low point. That is where the ball needs to be. ↘️ Downhill: low point moves back, ball position moves back. ↗️ Uphill: low point moves forward, ball position moves forward. And widen your stance a touch to stay balanced on the hill before any of this matters. One practice swing tells you more than ten minutes of guessing. This is the last of three trouble shots in our latest YouTube video.
