The beauty world is having a minor meltdown because Estée Lauder reformulated Double Wear. @esteelauder But the truth is, the original formula was created almost 30 years ago. Back then, the goal was maximum coverage, a matte finish and maximum wear time. Today, most people want foundation that looks more like skin, feels lighter, and is a little more forgiving on dry or textured skin. So Estée Lauder updated the formula with newer technology and added hydrating ingredients. Will everyone love it? Probably not. Do I love it? No. I like the original much more. I didn’t love how this built up either although to be fair, I only tried it once. With that said, if you’ve found Double Wear a little too heavy or matte over the years, this change might actually be a good thing. What do you think?
