What is a Deep Margin Elevation (DME)?

Deep margin elevation (DME) is a conservative dental technique that involves raising a deep dental margin, located below the gum line (subgingival), to a higher level (supragingival) using composite resin. How is the procedure performed? 1. Isolation: A rubber dam is used to keep the area completely dry and free of bacteria. 2. Double Matrix placement: An anatomically adapted matrix system (such as metal bands or curved bands) is placed to contain the material in the deep area. 3. Bonding and sealing: Advanced adhesive techniques (such as bonding to dentin and enamel) and a flowable or compactable resin base are applied to raise the cervical margin. #dentist #shorts #doctor #medical #dentalcare #braces #invisalign #tooth #smile #smiley #wisdomtooth #wisdomteeth #pain #infection #satisfying #satisfyingvideo #implant #implants #oddlysatisfying
