NEWS | Stage 6 | 2026 Absa Cape Epic
Stage 6 of the 2026 Absa Cape Epic delivered another fast day of racing in Stellenbosch, as riders tackled a punchy 76km course with 2,450m of climbing. With fatigue setting in after nearly a week of racing, the penultimate stage pushed both physical and mental limits to the edge. In the Men’s race, Buff-BH’s Wout Alleman and Martin Stošek powered to victory after an aggressive performance, while Matt Beers and Tristan Nortje (Toyota Specialized Imbuko) made a crucial move in the General Classification battle. Race leaders Luca Braidot and Simone Avondetto (Wilier-Vittoria) held onto the yellow jersey—but their lead has been cut to just 13 seconds heading into the final stage. The Women’s race saw continued dominance from Candice Lill and Alessandra Keller (Thömus Maxon Sabi Sabi), who secured yet another stage win to make it 6 out of 7. Margot Moschetti and Claudia Peretti (Symbtech.net) claimed second place, with Hayley Preen and Haley Smith (Chemchamp Honeycomb) rounding out the podium. With everything still to play for, the race heads into a thrilling grand finale. #CapeEpic #MTB #Cycling #QueenStage 🔔 Subscribe to our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/EpicSeries_Race_The_World 🌐 Visit our website to access more content: www.cape-epic.com/ 📲 And Follow us on all our social networks: Instagram: www.instagram.com/capeepic/ Facebook: www.facebook.com/capeepic Twitter: twitter.com/capeepic
