Lake Tahoe hasn’t been having the best winter season so far. So instead of waiting for the conditions to improve, we decided to go on a backpacking trip to one of our favorite lakes in Desolation Wilderness, Lake Aloha! The plan was to hike 8 miles on our splitboards, pitch our tent in the snow, enjoy some time in the mountains, and maybe even get a few turns on our snowboards while we’re out there!
